Dr Nahin Hussain
I am a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at University Hospitals of Leicester. I am the lead for paediatric neurology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. I have the experience of working as a senior consultant paediatric neurologist at the University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust, United Kingdom for more than 15 years. I am the medical education governance lead at Leicester. I have the experience working in the Local Education Training Board- paediatric training/education committee (Health Education East Midlands)- regularly attended their board meetings, been a member on the ARCP panel and have been the educational supervisor for trainees for several years. I have a good track record of achievement in delivery of paediatric neurology and neuromuscular services in the East Midlands, United Kingdom which covers a population of more than 3 million.
I am an active member of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health, London (RCPCH). I have been designated as Paediatric Educationalist by the RCPCH and sit on their Education and training quality committee. I am an examiner for the MRCPCH Exams.
I am the programme director for the national grid training programme in paediatric neurology at Leicester. I am an active member of the British Paediatric Neurology association and the course director of the paediatric epilepsy training course PET Course 1.2 & 3 and the distance learning programme. I am the prinicipal investigator for several national/international studies with several publications and Senior Lecturer at department of Neurosciiences, University of Leicester. I am a mentor and appraiser for consultants at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
