Oral presentations

Please check the programme for the date and time of your talk.  Please prepare your presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint (widescreen 16.9) and bring your presentation on a USB pen drive.  Please report to the Speaker Preview Room in plenty of time before the start of your talk to upload your presentation.  If your talk includes a video, this must be embedded in your PPT presentation prior to attending.

Oral presentations will have 15 minutes each: 10 minutes for the presentation, with a further 5 minutes for discussion.  Chairing will be strict.  Your presentation will be in the Assembly Hall which is on the first floor.  A few minutes before your talk, please report to the technicians at the AV desk in the Assembly Hall so that you can be briefed and dressed with your microphone.

Poster presentations

Please prepare your poster PORTRAIT, A0 (maximum size 841mm x 1189mm).  Your poster will only be on display for the duration of the conference (Wednesday 29 – Friday 31 January 2020) for the poster viewing sessions which take place during each break and lunch-time over the 3 days.

The presenter must be one of the submitted authors and is expected to attend the conference and be present for the poster viewing sessions to answer any questions.  If you are unable to attend for all or part of the conference, please email gail.young@bpna.org.uk as soon as possible.

You will be required to put your poster up in the required location before the start of the first session on Wednesday 29 January 2020 at 12.45. Posters will be displayed in either the ground floor or first floor exhibition areas.

On arrival, please check the poster plan located in the ground floor exhibition area.  You will need your poster number so that you can find the location of your poster board (this has been issued to you in the notification) and/or presenter name. We will provide Velcro fixings. If you need assistance, there will be staff on hand to help.

All posters should be removed by 16.00 on Friday 31 January 2020. Unfortunately, we are unable to store any posters that are left on display. Any unclaimed posters that are left behind will be disposed of by the venue.

PDF poster upload (for the conference app)

As well as producing a traditional poster for display during the poster viewing sessions each day, the submitter is now able to upload a PDF version of the poster that will be displayed in the conference App. This should be uploaded before the start of the conference on Wednesday 29 January 2020 by 9.00.  Please note that this can only be uploaded to the account of the person who submitted the abstract (as this is where the abstract is stored and is linked to the app from here).

To upload a poster, the submitter should login to their BPNA account at https://bpna.org.uk/login.php (using the login details that you used to submit your abstract), then in the top right-hand corner, click on MY ACCOUNT > ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED.  The submitters must have also registered for conference for this facility to be available.
