Dr Anne-Marie Childs

Dr Anne-Marie Childs is a paediatric neurologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, where she has been working as a consultant for 20 years.

Anne-Marie leads the neuromuscular (NM) service which is an MDUK centre of excellence and DMD Research Hub. She is also interested in white matter disorders and novel neurogenetic diseases. She is a Principal Investigator for several clinical trials in NM Disorders and is working with colleagues across the UK to ensure equal access to clinical trials and novel therapies for these conditions irrespective of social status or location.

Anne-Marie is committed to ensuring a high standard of clinical care for all children and young people with neurological disorders. She believes an essential component to this is a robust and sustainable training programme for budding neurologists in the UK and has worked with the BPNA and CSAC over the last 4 years to achieve this.
