Dr Elaine Hughes

Elaine Hughes is lead consultant for the Paediatric Epilepsy service at Evelina London Childrens Hospital and Kings College Hospital and committed to continued development of networked services for children and young people with epilepsy across the region. This has meant a longstanding interest in teaching for families and professionals recognising the strengths of working with patient groups in service development, education and research. Elaine has a particular interest in complex co-morbidities in children with epilepsy working jointly with colleagues in neurodevelopmental medicine and child psychiatry and in the role of these problems in understanding developmental and genetic epilepsies in particular.
