Dr Karine Lascelles

Karine Lascelles is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Evelina London Childrens Hospital, part of Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in the fields of neurofibromatosis type1 (NF1) and complex epilepsy and is paediatric lead for the UK nationally commissioned neurofibromatosis clinic at Guys hospital working within the multidisciplinary team in both the NF1 and NF2 services. The aim of the national service which looks after both adults and children is to give expert, multidisciplinary, holistic care for children with these complex multisystem diseases as well as provide education and support to paediatric services. Dr Lascelles works closely with Professor Ferner (overall service lead) and with Professor Hargrave (paediatric neuro-oncologist) as well as other specialists, with a particular focus on management of plexiform neurofibroma and optic pathway glioma including the use of novel therapies.
