Dr Dipak Ram

Dr Dipak Ram is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He is the clinical lead for neurovascular and neurometabolic services in the North West of England. Dipak leads the largest CLN2 service in the UK as well as the NHSE commissioned inherited white matter disorders (IWMD) service in Manchester. He is the UK's neurology lead for the stem cell gene therapy programme for metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD). Dipak is also part of the NHSE relapsing demyelination service in Manchester. He is involved in various national and international trials for neurovascular, neurogenetic and neurodegenerative disorders and has contributed to various publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dipak is a BPNA Executive member and an active part of the organisation. Having a strong interest in education, he has been a CSAC member since 2018 and is the current RCPCH and BPNA National Training Advisor (NTA) for paediatric neurology training in the UK.
