Dr Mark Atherton

Dr Mark Atherton is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, having completed his training in paediatric neurology in February 2022. During his paediatric neurology training, he was Chair of the British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA) Trainees’ Special Interest Group and trainee representative member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health College Specialty Advisory Committee (CSAC). He has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders; being a current co-Chair of the NHS England National Onasemnogene abeparvovec (Zolgensma) MDT and being involved in clinical research trials in this area.
