Dr Elizabeth Ledger
Dr Elizabeth Ledger is a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant working with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a paediatric advisor and in the UK in the Emergency Department of Bristol Children’s Hospital. Liz first joined MSF as a field paediatrician in 2012, completing multiple assignments before moving to headquarters in 2019. She works currently as an international paediatric advisor with MSF Operational Centre Paris, providing technical support for paediatric and newborn care across projects in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Haiti, Nigeria and Syria. Outside of her clinical practice and training in the UK, she has worked throughout Africa and Asia in clinical, training and research roles both in and out of MSF. Her areas of interest include nutrition, newborn care, recognition of the sick child and paediatric emergency trauma care.
