Dr Christian De Goede
Christian de Goede has been a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Royal Preston Hospital since December 2006. He is passionate about services for children with neurodisability, and is the lead for the regional tone management service. Christian and his team were awarded the 2016 Quality award, category working together, by the Lancashire Teaching hospitals NHS Trust. He has established a multidisciplinary neuromuscular service for children in Lancashire, linking in closely with the North West Adult and Paediatric Neuromuscular Network. Looking after children and young people with long term conditions, he is keen to further develop transition services. He was a 2016 Young Epilepsy Champion Finalist for leading the work on transition for young people with epilepsy in Lancashire. Christian has been a clinical lead in the North West Coast Clinical Network since 2014 and has been seconded to take the clinical lead for the Paediatric Integrated Care System (ICS) in Lancashire and South Cumbria. While primarily a clinician, he has a keen interest in research. He works closely with regional universities and recently obtained an i4i grant in collaboration with UCLAN.
