Prof Tally Lerman-Sagie

Prof. Tally Lerman-Sagie completed a residency in Pediatrics at Beilinson Medical Center in Israel in 1990. She did a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at Mass. General Hospital, Boston, MA and a fellowship in Metabolic Diseases at Children's Hospital, Boston, MA. She is a Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University and is former chief of Pediatric Neurology at Wolfson Medical Center, Israel. She founded and was the head of the Magen Rare Disease Center which diagnoses and treats children with rare metabolic and neurogenetic disorders. She is the neurologic co-director of the Fetal Neurology Clinic, a multidisciplinary clinic that diagnoses and counsels pregnant women with fetal brain anomalies.Her main research is in the diagnosis of brain anomalies in utero and postnatal implications and the genetic basis of rare neurogenetic syndromes. She has written over 300 papers and chapters in textbooks.She was a member of the EPNS board from 2017 to 2021 and has introduced the field of Fetal Neurology as an extension of Pediatric Neurology. She has co-edited an issue of the EJPN on Fetal Neurology and wrote invited and original papers on the subject.
