Prof Sameer Zuberi
Sameer is the senior Paediatric Neurologist at the Royal Hospital for Children and Honorary Professor in the University of Glasgow. He has broad clinical & research interests including epilepsy, movement disorders, neurogenetics, neurological sleep disorders and technology to aid diagnosis and management. He leads the Paediatric Neurosciences Research Group and is clinical lead of the National Services Scotland funded Genetic Epilepsy Service. Sameer is Vice-President of the European Brain Council and past President of the European Paediatric Neurology Society participating in global advocacy for brain health. He has chaired the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Commission on Classification & Terminology & participated in many ILAE Task Forces. From 2025-9 he is chairing a Task Force on Home Video Diagnosis of Seizures. His current research focuses on integrating smartphone video and AI analysis into decision support tools and technology to measure respiratory patterns in people with epilepsy to predict risk and potentially reduce mortality.
