Join us in the magnificent Birmingham Council House, one of the city's most iconic and celebrated buildings. Completed in 1879 and designed by architect Yeoville Thomason, the Council House is a splendid example of Victorian civic architecture and remains the headquarters of Birmingham City Council.

With its grand Corinthian columns, ornate banqueting suite with minstrel's gallery, and opulent interiors, this venue offers a truly memorable setting for the opening of the 2027 conference. Mingle with fellow delegates, enjoy a welcome drink, and soak in the grandeur of a building that has welcomed royalty, world leaders, and celebrated Birmingham's proud heritage for nearly 150 years.

Dinner is not included on Wednesday evening, giving you the opportunity to explore Birmingham's vibrant and diverse food scene. We recommend booking in advance.

 

Annual Conference Dinner

The 2027 Annual Dinner will take place in one of Birmingham's most striking contemporary landmarks - the Library of Birmingham. Opened in 2013 and designed by Dutch architects Mecanoo, the Library sits at the heart of Centenary Square and has been described as the largest public library in the United Kingdom and the largest public cultural space in Europe. Its distinctive façade, adorned with interlocking circles inspired by Birmingham's industrial and artisan heritage, makes it one of the most architecturally arresting buildings in the country.

The evening will begin with a pre-dinner drinks reception from 19.00, followed by dinner at 19.30. Following dinner and speeches there will be music and dancing!
